At the 2024 AMI Event - PVC FORMULATION EUROPE - one of our chemists, Dr. Selvaggia Landi, will explore the future of sustainable PVC.
In her presentation, Dr. Landi looks at ways to reduce the CO2 footprint of compounds. The presentation will show data extrapolated internally from compounds formulated with lower carbon footprint resin (Vestolit), lower carbon footprint plasticizers (Alphagary), and utilizing recycled content (Vestolit + Alphagary).
ABOUT DR. LANDI
Selvaggia earned her PhD in chemistry from the University of Perugia. Formerly part of the Dow Chemical Company’s R&D team in the UK and Italy, then latterly a Product Development Manager in Blachford Acoustics, she joined Alphagary in 2023 as a Senior R&D Technologist. Working on the development of PVC compounds and stabilizers, Selvaggia has been steadily guiding and developing the R&D processes at Alphagary's Chinley site. This has included leading the replacement of key raw materials with sustainable alternatives.
