Alphagary exhibits at IWCS: a decades-long tradition of showcasing flame retardant compounds

Alphagary will join IWCS participants in Rhode Island this year, continuing a decades-long tradition of supporting the event, showcasing its flame retardant compounds, and taking the opportunity to connect with customers, supply-partners, and other industry leaders in the wire & cable market sector.

Since the mid 1980s, Alphagary's participation in IWCS (the International Wire & Cable Symposium) grew from exhibition and symposium involvement to include its signature Monday Night Football reception event that quickly became a mainstay of the all-important industry-specific tradeshow. Throughout the 90s, Alphagary hosted this welcome reception event for all IWCS participants which included a broadcast of the football game and celebrity guest appearances (many hall-of-fame football players alongside its mainstay basketball celebrity John Havlicek), autographs, and an abundance of food and drink.

Today, Alphagary continues to offer advanced materials for wire, cable, and electrical applications. Alphagary's portfolio developed specifically for applications in this market sector include PVC compounds (up to plenum flame standard), LSHF compounds, TPE compounds, TPU compounds, CPE compounds and its latest offering, semi-conductive compounds for MV and HV power cables. Newest innovations include tough materials for outdoor applications such as EV charging cables, materials that enable AI in agriculture, renewable energy cables (solar, PV), materials to replace FEP, and materials built with bio-based and/or recycled content including experimental LSHF compounds.
