AlphaGary Corporation Acquired by Mexichem

An announcement went out today from Rockwood Holdings informing the financial news services that Rockwood signed an agreement to sell the AlphaGary Compounding group to Mexichem S.A.B. de C.V. The sale will include the AlphaGary US, AlphaGary UK LTd and AlphaGary Canada business units. The closing of the sale is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2011.
Both the AlphaGary group and Mexichem look forward to growing the business as we move ahead in this new partnership. AlphaGary will continue to provide high standards of service to customers and we believe this combination with Mexichem will enhance our position in the markets we serve. AlphaGary is excited to move ahead in this new stage in our history as a company.
